Back from Vacation.

Well our whirlwind trip through Americas Heartland is over. We pulled the marathon 900ish mile trip home in about 14.5 hours. We left Iowa at 900pm and rolled into home at about 1130am. It was great to see my father in Michigan and brother in Iowa. Got to spend 4 days with my new baby nephew who is 9 months old(Ive only got to see him three times) 36 total hours of driving in seven days...phew! Had enough for a couple days! We went to the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapid, MI and the Science Center of Iowa in Des Moines, IO and had a pretty nice laid back family vaction. Ive also come to realize that my 5 and 9 year old kids can hold their bladder better that I can!

Well I missed being on the site some, see you all around!

Re: Back from Vacation.

Yeah Ive got some Ill have to get them up later. Mostly family stuff, got some of the zoo and science center. The most shocking to me are of the flooding that is still going on in Illinois on US34 across the Mississippi from Burlington Iowa. Four or five miles out there is still water three or four feet high! Peoples farms and houses are still under water with temorary roads having been constructed by the Army Corps of Engineers. No publicity at all! Well show every baby toucher, rapist and murderer in the country but not the plight of the common man. Ill TRY to get some pics up later.

Re: Back from Vacation.

Not to make lite of those folks in Ill's flood. But just think of the archery fishing for carp in those flooded fields.
Them young uns and the misses are cuter than speckled pups pulling a lil red wagon.
