Re: just wanted to say...

Livingreefs is definitely an amazing place to be, though I will never knock reef central. There is a lot of information to be read on there. The environment isn't as close knit, but it is a very resourceful place, just doesn't have the down home feeling that a smaller forum like this is capable of having.

Re: just wanted to say...

This is a great site because: You can have a heated discussion and keep being a member, be a complete newb and still have all of your question given the same attention as a veteran, and finally you can get ripped on crown rip a site and STILL be a good member!

I will agree with Alexander and say that RC is a useful tool, not my cup of tea but I do frequent it.

i love livingreefs and this is the place for me, the only usefulness i get from reefcentral is that i can look at massive ass tanks i will never own and i can get good info from the TOTM articles

Re: just wanted to say...

As others have said, RC has some great info. It's just so large that it is hard to make a personal connection (whatever that may be when we are all over the place on laptops and PCs). Plus, I never was given the idea to sit in front of my tank with two fingers of Crown . Now that is an awesome idea. I like mine with ice.

Re: just wanted to say...

+1 for the drunken/buzzed post, haha.

Both forums have their perks, however, I wouldn't say reefcentral sucks.

But yes, I do love livingreefs, it feels more like a family and no one is better than the other. And you can post a thread and it won't be burried 5 pages deep within an hour, haha.
