Re: Took the chance!!!

Ok now I fell STUPID I woke ue turnon the lights and guess were he was suck to the filter. WHAT!!!!! The filter is small, theres no way he could have got sucked to it the intake is long and has a bunch of holes in theres no. NOPE there was a way and he found it. DANG IT THAT MAKES ME SOOOOO MAD!!!! The now is I cant tell if hes still alive his tantacles are still full but his foot is on the slots of the cover on the hob filter. I was looking at his condys and they and there arms on the filter intake in his tank so I thought mine would be fine because his filter is alot stronger than mine. Well I took the cover off and set it in the sand to see if he is alive and can pull his sself out of it. Well I'l see when I get home tonight. Man I hope hes ok. I'M A IDIOT!!!!

Re: Took the chance!!!

I don't think he'll pull himself out of it. You should pull him out yourself, do it gently and just wiggle the stuck parts back and forth until you get him out. The same thing happened with my BTA (they will get stuck in ANYTHING no matter how small the slits) and part of it turned gray and fell off, but he made a full recovery in no time.

Re: Took the chance!!!

Ok I got a update on the nem. Well I got home and he looks great, just like what he looked when I got him in the tank, from what I can see anyway. I can only see about half of him, because when he pulled himself out of the intake he walked between two rocks and thats were my wife said hes been all day. His tentacles look full and foot look realy good for what happened. The only bad thing I can see is a piece of him that can on the sand. It was very small about a 1/4 and looked like about 3 shriveld up tentacles. So for now every thing looks good, I just hope it stays that way. Biff you said some of yours turned gray and fell off. How much? How long did it take to recover?

Re: Took the chance!!!

About 8 tentacles and a chunk of flesh the size of a chickpea turned gray and fell off. It seemed to recover in a couple days, it was pretty quick. I fed it a lot to try and get its health back.

Re: Took the chance!!!

Chickpea = garbanzo bean. You know, it's a type of legume.... Maybe it's a vegetarian thing .
