Re: How's it going?
Thanks everyone. Yes I have a chacolate chip, and he's a coral killer. I've had him for probably 8 or 9 months and he was a great addition then one day he went after corals and wont stop. I will have to give him to the LFS soon so I can keep adding corals.

Re: How's it going?
Well I thought they were really bad for reef tanks. It seems like my LFS only carries choc. chip, I hardly ever seen any brittles. And people buy them left and right. I want to ask them if they have FOWLR or Reef. The people who work at the LFS are just a bunch of teenagers who don't know themselves what's safe for a reef and what's not.

Re: How's it going?
Yeah they are not good at all for reefs, but at first my 30 was FOWLR and I added him and fell in love with it. He's got to go now. I have a brittle in my 30 now and I love him to, but it's a green one and they are known to kill and eat fish. If you get a brittle get a smaller one like the black, because they're too small and more docile to eat fish. I have heard and read that the serpent stars are good for reefs, but I havn't seen one for sale to tryit, and give personal experience.

Re: How's it going?
I have a serpent and a brittle star. My serpent star ended up dropping all of its legs, and now I have six of them! Both of them are cool, but I hardly ever see my brittle star, he just hides under the same rock all the time. The serpent stars are extremely active though and are fun to watch chase after food. I'd recommend either of these for a reef tank.

Re: How's it going?
My only worry with the serpent star is I read they move like a spider and I have issues with spiders.

Re: How's it going?
I dont really think its like a spider, but more like a octo. They drag there selves fast with their legs.
