Re: Newb's 72g Reef

the skimmer so far is working awesome, but i haven't had to empty the cup yet but it is pretty nasty stuff it's pulling outta the water so im not sure if i have it tuned just right. my nitrates are sitting at around 20 and have been for the last couple of weeks, im using test strips so im not sure how accurate they are. im hoping to soon upgrade to Salifert or instant ocean test kits.

Re: Newb's 72g Reef

Great looking tank! I almost wish years ago that I bought a 72 bow - but space was an issue then - it still is an issue now. I think the bows are much nicer than the waves. While the waves do look cool - I'm not sure they will ever be as popular as the bows have been.

Re: Newb's 72g Reef

i love the bowfronts also. they give the illusion that the tank has a lot of depth. i have seen some awesome aquascaping pulled off in a bowfront.
