coraline alge

i have a couple of areas on one rock that is growing what looks like bright orange Coraline my question is is there orange Coraline or is it something else i have tried to take a pic of it but it wont show up.

Yea i think its coralline. Coraline comes in a few diffrent colors (green, purple, yellow...) and i think orange is one of them.

not sure if it is or it isn't, but orange coraline sounds awesome to have.

Coralline do come in orange.I once had some that color but it died out.Not sure if the other colors out compete it or it died from to intense light.

that is what i was wondering. ever since i moved i have had a hard time getting the stuph to grow now tis turning orange. at first i thought it was dieing because i have 11wpg. i will try to get a pic.

The spectrum of your lights could be making it look orange. It is most likly coralline if it is had. It could be sponge if it is squishy.
