when should i hook it up 23days and no change in stats
if it help, i now have 85lbs of cured rock

I have heard most people say you don't need it and it gets rid of good and bad

Awesome quote under your name, JC!! If you want to run the UV sterilizer, I don't think it's necessary to run it until you get fish. If I remember correctly, you have one or two fish in there now, so it'd be okay to start it up. You just shouldn't run it during your cycle.

I have a UV in one of my tanks and one without. I notice more Ich spots on the fish in the tank without a UV. You may want to wait a bit before setting it up to get your bacteria built up.
