Re: i have
no the snails may die. Don't add a thing till your cycle is over. Also stop making new threads. Just post this in your thread where everyone is discussing your cycle.

Re: i have
Adding animals will not make the cycle go faster. Adding inverts such as snails during the cycle will kill them. Inverts are extremely sensitive to ammonia and nitrites and will not tolerate even low levels of these toxins.

Re: i have
Dont add anything except rock and top-off untill ammonia and nitrites fall back to zero.

Re: i have
You got un-cured rock.So you want have to do anything else except keep the tank topped off.
Congratulations,you've started your cycle.

Re: i have
Does your live rock contain anything live obviously growing on it besides coraline algae? If not just keep water topped off with quality dechlorinated water, preferably RO water Or even better RODI water. If the rock came with other life forms you need to decide if those other life forms are worth partial water changes and a longer cycle or if your willing to sacrifice those life forms for a quicker harder cycle without doing partial water changes. Really good live rock comes with polyps, little corals, anemones, macro algae, sponges, pods, plankton and hitchhikers such as; bristle worms, snails, crabs, hermit crabs, starfish and even an occasional blenny or other fish. Typical live rock comes with varying amounts of coraline algae, bacteria and littles else.
