I dont know that they will encase the powerhead,but I dont see any reason they wouldnt either.Unless the vibration slowed the growth down.

If you did stick it to the powerhead, it'd make the powerhead impossible to take out and clean. But it would be awesome camouflage.

People use to attach coral frags to hermit crab shells while there were crabs using the shells. They grew fine.
