Red Fromia Starfish

I had a red fromia starfish kick the bucket, before I noticed he was dead he had already started disinigrating and arms pulling apart. Today when I got in their to pull it, the star had completely disingrated and is gone. What do I do, if anything?

I did a water change and vacuumed the best I could on the gravesite.

All you can do is keep an eye on your parameters and hope for best.
Hate to hear about the loss.

Re: Red Fromia Starfish

If it's gone, it's gone. Your cleaner crew probably took care of it. Like Yote said, keep your eye out for spiking parameters and be ready to do a water change.

Re: Red Fromia Starfish

mine died and it took a week before I realized it. I didn't notice any i'll effects on tank such as ammonia or nitrates. by the way, he died from a powerhead falling off the tank in the middle of the night and covering him in half the sand in in tank.
