Rose Bubble Anemone

Can a Rose Bubble Anemone sting a sea cucumber to death? I recently purchased a Anemone, and it moved last night and camped out right on top of my cucumber. I am concerned that it will sting it and kill it. Should I be?

Re: Rose Bubble Anemone

Definitely. Anemones will sting and kill stuff that gets too close to it, including inverts like cucumbers.

Re: Rose Bubble Anemone

LFS that I purchased from basically said that the cucumbers skin is like a really rough leather and that anemone sting probably will not penetrate the skin, and if it does it will just get up and move away from it when irritated. I listened to him, and the cucumber is still alive and kicking. The Anemone got up and wondered off to the next side of the tank this morning.
