New growth(polyps)

What color is the new growth when green star polyps spread? I have some and cant really tell whats new and old. Thx.

I have some green star polyps too. The base that they come out of is purple. If you think of it as being wax, new growth looks like it is melting, and running down the rock. Then it gets white spots in this new purple growth, and that is where a new polyp will start to grow. On the parent colony that my green star polyps came from the old growth looked kind of a tan/yellow color. I hope this helps. I've been reading posts on this sight for some time now, but this is the first time I am posting my own. This sight ROCKS!
