Notice how he said his Mom was going to buy it for him. i have a question though. how safe is it to buy a used tank. i had one, and the seam broke. 55 gallons of water in my house. not cool at al

Its a risk reward situation. How much risk are you willing to take for the reward of saving BIG money. As long as you leak test outside before filling they are normally OK.
I was just giving him crap about his mom buying the tank he is only 16. I wish I couldve had parents that were willing let alone able to help with my hobbies at that age. I kid out of jealousy!
