you really don't want to strip the nutrients before they go through your biological material.

You want the water to be as clean as possible to keep from coating the protective tube around the UV lamp with crud that will block the UV rays. ![]() Current Aquarium(s) Description: 120g SPS Mother Colony Tank, 40 g sump, back wall overflows, 2 closed loop circulation circuits 59X Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 35 years in marine aquarium trade and managing LFS's, 10 years with coral. I put mine on my return because I have aptesia in my sump and I don't want them to spread to my display.
