Usually 12 to 14 hours depending on what time I get up and what time I get home. So none of the above!

No, I haven't found a timer yet that can support my 1200 watt lights. The tend to...ahh...melt things that I plug them into. Home Depot and Lowe's don't sell anything that strong, the dude in the electrical dept. at Home Depot referred me to a commercial lighting installation company, and said they might be able to provide me with something. I haven't called yet.

Most people keep them on for around 12 hours a day. Mine stay on around that, plus or minus a couple hours depending on how my day is going.

You poll doesnt have any options for 12-14 hours so i cant vote.
Since i only have 300watts of PC lights, i keep them on for a good 12 -14 hours. Like Biff. Current Aquarium(s) Description: 80 Gal. Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 2 years Other Intrests: Drums, sports, camping, astronomy and computers.
