Re: t5 lighting for aquapod
Is your aquapod around 18"? If so Current sells T-5 fixtures that are 18" in length and are 40 watts total from two bulbs. No individual reflectors but they work well. I have two of these fixtures.
If it is 20" long I would wait, Current is releasing a 20" Nova Extreme Pro light this spring/summer, look around to see if it's out yet Current Aquarium(s) Description: 34 gallon Solana w/ 150 Halide Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 6 months Other Intrests: Fishing, Outdoors, having fun |

Re: t5 lighting for aquapod
you could always hang a light that is a little too long I guess, or try halides hung with an ATO

Re: t5 lighting for aquapod
You will get what you pay for. Those are plain generic bulbs at only 8w per bulb.Where would you buy replacement bulbs. No online vendor(except maybe Ebay) sells replacements bulbs in 8 watters.Probably very low PAR,good for a fish only or FOWLR tank only.54w of PC is better

Re: t5 lighting for aquapod
The next jump in lighting is the 70 watt HQI halide, but that is a whole new subject, with its own unique problems and solutions.
