ill answer my own question, its a powder brown tang, how is it doing, i have read they dont do the best in captivity

It's an acanthurus japonicus, which is the hardy version as opposed to the acanthurus nigricans, which is very difficult.

Sorry Dustin but he has a white cheek -- A. japonicus. A. nigricans is more of the true powder brown and much harder to keep.
