New Octopus Skimmers?!?!
So i just seen some pictures of the new "Extreme series" of the octopus skimmer. Anybody knows anything about them? i saw them at reefspecialty.com (i think)

Yea, they've been out for like 6 months or something; they use a better pump rather than the cheaper ones the regular Octo uses, they also have a couple design improvements. But if you are looking for a new skimmer the MSX line is pretty hot right now, they also use the Sicce pumps that the extreme Octo use and they have some good skimmate production. The MSX-160 is around $310 and the MSX-200 is around $350. They seem to be pretty good deals. The MSX-200 has an 8" wide body and about a 24" height, so the dimensions are almost identical to my H&S, which is probably able to handle a 200g tank and costs around 3x as much. The problem is that since they came out they have been pretty much sold out and I would expect the prices to start rising as the demand has started to rise more and more.
