JBJ 28 gallon

I am thinking about starting a JBJ 28 g HQI with upgraded PC lighting from nanocustoms.com ( 186 watts total). Does anyone have any thoughts about this system and what kinds of upgrades might be warranted in terms of skimmers, chillers, pumps.I am interested in changing the mechanical filtration that comes standard behind the tank to a refugium and how I would go about it, what kind of lighting, etc.

I dont know what kind of up-grades you can find for those systems. But they are sharp.

Re: JBJ 28 gallon

They are awesome systems. Nice lighting and comes with a skimmer. As far as changing the back to a fige I dont really see it happening with sand and everything. Most people just do rock rubble and such. The only downside to the nano is with the lighting and everything, algae can sometimes be a hard battle.
