Well we can do our part by buying captive bred clowns.

part of it is also that parents buy their kids clownfish because the like finding nemo but they do no research and dont know how to care for them and they die so they go out and replace them and then so on and so on

This is kind of surprising since tank breds are readily available.We should all do our parts and ask specifically for tank bred clowns.No clowns should be taken from the ocean,I believe all the clown species have been tank bred now.

Two questions regarding this.

Do LFS's even sell wild clowns? If the do, should I not buy it and let some finding nemo moron buy it instead or buy it?

my lfs sells only tank breed clowns and as many other fish that are also tank bred. if you buy wild it just sustains the market for them.
