Gas Bubbles
Many gas bubbles keep forming in the sand up against the glass. If I stir the sand up they slowly float to the top. If I stir the sand up away from the glass, I do NOT get any bubbles. The sand along the glass does get some small amount of indirect sunlight. It looks like there is a little red-cyano an inch or two down in the sand.
What is that gas? Do I need my sand stirrers to take care of it? Current Aquarium(s) Description: 10G Fresh 1G inside the 10G & 29G BioCube FOWLR Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: Years with Fresh, new to Marine |

Re: Gas Bubbles
That gas is the end result of the nitrogen cycle. Its nitrogen.Shows that your sand bed is doing its job.

Re: Gas Bubbles
I'm glad were all in agreement. Seriously, I'm thinking the bubbles are a by-product of the cyano because they only form against the glass.
