are there any corals that dont need...

special lighting that can live in a predator tank?

Current Aquarium(s) Description: 120 gallon freshwater SA/CA cichlids 55 gallon SW predator tank
Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: brand spanking new
Other Intrests: work fish and children(seeing as how i have 6)

Sun corals and chili corals are non-photosynthetic. But because they are non-photosynthetic, they need to be hand fed daily or every other day. Very time consuming and a lot of work. Depends on what fish you have if they'll eat them or not. Most predator fish aren't predatorial on corals, but some are.

are these corals pretty, good eye candy?

I would love to have some of them sun corals. The only thing stopping me is having to feed them daily. Just don't have the exxtra time.

oh wow those sun corals are amazing and bright

thats what i need in my tank lol i wouldnt mind hand feeding it i mean i do for my anemone anyways so wth how much those suns go for ??

oh I have them on my list of corals I am interested in.

Vivid Aquariums sells them. There is also Dendrophyllia which looks a lot like Sun Polyps, but are soo beautiful. They are more expensive than Sun Polyps. Dendrophyllia is $60 for one polyp frag. http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expa...ode=05-5056-10
