Re: are there any corals that dont need...
Sun corals and chili corals are non-photosynthetic. But because they are non-photosynthetic, they need to be hand fed daily or every other day. Very time consuming and a lot of work. Depends on what fish you have if they'll eat them or not. Most predator fish aren't predatorial on corals, but some are.

Re: are there any corals that dont need...
I would love to have some of them sun corals. The only thing stopping me is having to feed them daily. Just don't have the exxtra time.

Re: are there any corals that dont need...
oh I have them on my list of corals I am interested in.
Vivid Aquariums sells them. There is also Dendrophyllia which looks a lot like Sun Polyps, but are soo beautiful. They are more expensive than Sun Polyps. Dendrophyllia is $60 for one polyp frag. http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expa...ode=05-5056-10 Sun Polyps http://www.vividaquariums.com/10Expa...ode=02-1035-10 Most species in the Dendrophylliidae family are non-photosynthetic.
