refugium
I just have started a JBJ HQI 28 G tank and have made the back middle compartment where the carbon filter normally would go into a small fuge, the area is maybe 3 in x 14 in and 2.5 inches wide- cant hold more than a gallon of water- I got some bubble caulerpa from a friend and am running 3 1 watt LED lights ( velcroed to the back) 24/7. Is this enough light for this small area - its a least 3 watts/ gallon- and if so how quickly should I expect growth? Area has plenty of flow. Also can anyone give me the warning signs of the algae 'going sexual' and what I should do in case? Thanks in advance
