Clowns turning color...

Not sure but we think our clowns may be turning colors. Their backs seem to be darker than their bellys and underside. Their heads seem to be still the bright orange but we're thinking that they are turning a little darker on the top. Can anyone provide any info on this?

They aren't Trues. They must be Falses. Any clues or could it just be the lighting?

Ocellaris clowns will get darker along their backs as they mature.

Re: Clowns turning color...

Your's are taking the first steps before turning to piranhas!

Many fish darken and/or change color as they mature, including clownfish.

Re: Clowns turning color...

Thanks guys. Yote, you must be right that they are Ocellaris clowns. Heck, it's hard for me to tell them apart from False to Ocellaris clowns. Thanks again. I'm sure there will be more questions to come.
