What's the next thing...

to grow in our tank? Will we see the purple algae on the side of the tank soon or will the green algae be next?

what is growing right now? the purple stuff your referring to is coraline right? if so that is usually the last to grow and that could take a while

It starts with the brown diatoms then green diatoms,hair algae and cyanobacteria.After the film algaes,hair and cyano may or may not show up.You will be one of the lucky few,if it doesn't happen.

There is no set time frame for coralline.Generally,it starts after the cycle to a couple of months after.Many factors play into speed of coralline growth like calcium,akalinity,phosphate,lighting etc.
