What is the best place to buy ??cheato?? Is this the best macro for my new fuge? This is my first sump.

Current Aquarium(s) Description: 165g Reef, 50g sump w/fuge, Metal halides. 75g Planted Freshwter.

Check with your LFS.They may have some.If not,I think theres a place on ebay that sales it.
And yep,its the best for your fuge.

Yep usually straight from the LFS. Its something that can grow quite rapidly so I'm sure they will have some on hand almost all the time. For a beginner I definitely recommend it over caulerpa, which can actually turn out worse than better for someone who is inexperienced because it is a potent and noxious algae. So I'd say that chaetomorpha is probably the way to go for now.

Thanks to all for the great reply. I will go with cheato then. I will update when I get some.

Some local reefing clubs will have cheato that you can get from other members (my local club has been very generous). I would check there first.

If all else fails for you, try www.reefcleaners.org

I myself haven't gotten anything from them yet but I am placing my order on Friday. All I've heard is amazing things about them. I myself have 7 Red mangroves in my Refugium and after I place my order, I will also have Cheato and Ulva as well. Hope this helps!
