Can a stand be made taller?
I know the typical wood fish tank stand is made to support A LOT of weight. But I always hate how they are so low. I don't want to have to bend over just to look in my tank. So I was wondering if you can do anything to raise the stand. My first and easiest thought was to get some of those metal pipe legs like you see on the base of cabinetry in kitchens. But then I wasn't sure if the weight would be supported correctly. Or maybe a new base could be made out of wood? I'm not exactly a wood worker though. Any ideas?
