Added some things...
2 Chestnut Cowrie snails, and 2 blue legged hermit crabs for my cleaning crew. Anything I need to look for or just sit back and enjoy?
That would make 6 snails, and 3 hermit crabs all together now. Current Aquarium(s) Description: 29 gallon Experience in Saltwater & Reef Aquarium Hobby: 6 months Other Intrests: Hunting |

Re: Added some things...
Go to your LFS and pickup some empty shells.
Those hermits will grow and look for alternate homes (shells). If there aren't any, they will just die a painfully embarrassing naked death. Re: Added some things...
My hermits just kill each other.
Can't wait until they are all dead. Worthless little buggers.. When all my hermits are dead, I ain't having anything but emeralds in my tanks from that point.

Re: Added some things...
Never seen a hermit take a cowrie shell?? I guess it's possible though, but it would have to be HUGE!
I agree RC. I'm down to one blue & one scarlet hermit. I am sticking with the snails too. I have a handful of Nassarius snails, Astraea snails & Ceriths. Re: Added some things...
Be careful of the cowries -- they can turn carnivorous and go after your corals eventually. I witnessed this first hand!
