Detritus Forever
Last week I installed a more powerful pump, 2 loc-lines, one with a rotating powerhead. Went from stock Biocube29 265 gph to rio hyperflow 350. Also have Koralia 1. I can see the powerhead blasting down on the rock. There is good flow.
I turkey basted the LR after being out of town for 5 days and quite a bit of detritus had built up on the LR. Is the reality check you just have to turkey baste your LR forever? What about wave makers? How do you keep corals with LR that isn't perfectly free of detritus? Maybe I do have enough for a star to eat. A newb question?

Re: Detritus Forever
Most corals have a way to keep them clean so I'm not quite understanding that part.
No matter how much flow, there are going to be crack and crevice were debris get tracked.I blow the rocks once every few months.
