This reminds me of when Austin Powers picked up the wrong cup of coffee. "tastes a bit nutty..."

I've left food out by mistake and threw it back in freezer and used it. Everything survived.

I'd say so long as the cubes were still cold, or at least cool, it wouldnt be a problem. but yes, livestock is much more expensive to replace.
