Peppermint shrimp

I've had a peppermint shrimp for some time now and I'm wondering if he's going to kill any of my fish? He seems to pick on my purple dottyback when he gets the chance. Should I get rid of him?

Re: Peppermint shrimp

It isn't picing on it but cleaning it. If it is cleaning it then that is very good. I doubt that the pepperment shrimp willl eat any of you fish becuase they are small fragile and eat dead things or very tiny things. If anything bad would happen your fish will end up eating your shrimp.

Re: Peppermint shrimp

Pepperment shrimp act the same as cleaner shrimp.
Your is just trying to clean the dottyback.

Re: Peppermint shrimp

Yep same as everyone else said. A peppermint won't/can't harm a fish; it's only cleaning the fish.
