yep diatoms its normal just get you some turbo snails and do water changes and it will fade out in no time.

what are your water peramiters. don't add snails untill the cycle is complete.

Diatoms will come and go. Sometime they will appear out of nowhere and disappear in a matter of hours... It happens.

however the good thing is when it is completely established you should see it fade out for good if it does come back at that point something is offset.

I kept my light off for a few days. The diatoms are nearly diminished to nothing.
