when you get too much coraline on your rock it can block the pores. i like to keep an urchin in my tank to munch the coraline down so my LR "works better". i feel you on wasteing money though i've wasted money on PC lighting, and my CPR aquafuge. although i wouldn't consider either a poor product, just not enough for what i was trying to do with my tank. oh ya, the Sea Clone is a POJ it's a better paperweight than a skimmer lol.
