Quarentine/Sick Tank

How many of you guys/girls have a Quarentine tank up and running all the time. The reason I am asking is I have a 10 gallon with a light, filter, and heater that I used as a temporary for when I was setting up my new tank and I still have everything hooked up. I am wondering if I should keep it running?

Current Aquarium(s) Description: 55 gallon/20 gallon sump/Aquactinics TX5/LPS/SPS

Re: Quarentine/Sick Tank

I dont have a QT but if its already up and cycled I would continue to use it as a QT tank, and maybe keep something small and cheap in there to keep it going that you wont really care if it gets sick form another fish. JMO though.

Re: Quarentine/Sick Tank

I have QT but I only set it up if needed.I just use water from the DT if any fish get sick.To much hassle having to fill evaporation.I think you get better equalization Between the QT and DT this way.

I don't keep mine set up all the time, I only use it if I add anything.

Re: Quarentine/Sick Tank

I have decided I will now tear it down, and just set up as needed.

Thanks for the replies.
