i see..just be carefull fishbait..visit your local doc..to see if theres another etiology to that pain you have or is related to the shrooms.that way you can recieve proper treatment. tell him exactly what you have told us..i hope everyting resolves ok..take care..

Wow, sorry to hear about that.
I wish I would have read this 10 hours ago. I was fragging some of my mushrooms bare handed, but I didn't have the reaction you had. Did you happen to have a cut on your had that may have caused easier access for the toxin to enter your blood stream? We learn from our mistakes and others mistakes, I guess I will be wearing gloves whenever I handle my corals. Take care, hope ya feel better. we had a local guy in our reef club who was fragging zoos and got squirted in his eye and put him up in hospital real quick and got verys sick, zoos can mess you up bad and i've seen some people have bad reaction to frogspawn and hammer coral since they are stinging corals also.

thanks for all the good info and advice rigo. i'm going to go to my local doc in the morning for a follow up. i'm seem fine so far today. but i was in pretty bad pain for about 6 hours after handling the shroom last night. i'm hoping that is the problem. if so i can just start wearing gloves!

sorry to scare everyone about mushrooms. i found out that wasn't the problem. i sure was hoping it was. it seemed like the common link to when the pain started. the good doc rigo was right. they found three spots of my liver last night. i go in for a biopsy in the morning. this kinda sucks. i don't even drink. just the occassional cold beer or two. but that's not very often.
