Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Awesome, i have seen external ballasts at Ace, they arent very big but they are powerful. Yours HAVE to be in order to power those lamps. good choosin on the rubbermaids. and i think ill go with the cheapest. 55 gallons should cost about 13.75 at southwest. thats 2 dollars and 50cents for a ten gallon water change! Do they sell the water in gallon milk jug type things? OOOh theres my solution. Thanks Sarah now im excited.

You have to bring your own containers in. I have six 6-gallon camping-type water jugs that I bring by.

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

You can borrow some of my containers if you want. Now that I got my RO unit I won't be needing them anymore (hopefully).

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Oh no thats ok! 1: you might need them to transport water from the large containers to the aquarium. 2: I would like my own anyways, so they will fit my needs. Like wheels so that i can get it all back to my room. But thanks

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Here's my update for Friday. Yesterday, Neal started to hook up the RODI unit. He continued to work on that tonight. By the time he went to bed (around 15 minutes ago), this is how far that mini-project had come:

Yes! He unpacked it from the box and laid all the parts out on the kitchen counter! Go Neal! My god, at this rate, it'll be years before I have water in my tank. It'll be like the "JermPool's 125" thread all over again!
