Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Sorry Biff can't help you much on that.I heard John say 8'' before.Start high like 12'' and work your way down until heat becomes an issue.

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Reeffreak has some good advice. 12" first then work your way down. Gotta love RODI systems!! One of my friends in high school wrote in my yearbook that when the world gets low on water, i would be the one to figure out how to turn the urine of onesself or ones close friend into drinkable water. THAT day is way far off but an RODI system would be perfect! lol

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Hmmm I used my TDS meter last night to test out my newly made RODI water. Tap water reads 378 ppm. My newly made RODI water reads 12 ppm. Any thoughts? Is 12 ppm okay to use in my tank?

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

I for one appreciate your emotions. I like to see those who are able and willing to share pieces of themselves with others. It takes courage to do so. It is much easier to hide behind an attitude of apathy or gruffness than to own and deal with emotion. Kudos to you Biff. Best of luck with your tank.

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Update!

RO system is finally in:

My crew started to put up the lights last night:

My crew was seriously SLACKING. Three trips to Lowe's...and four hours later, look at the progress they've made:

This morning, they were up and running. Wow, those are bright!!!

Today's project is putting together all the PVC plumbing for the sump. More updates to come!

Hey I don't get paid the big bucks to do the grunt work. I'm a "Project Manager" -- I delegate and supervise!
