Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

The guy at the coral farm near me builds custom light fixtures... cheap and will build it however you want. Much cheaper than buying retail or online..

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Biff,I'm so happy for you that I could cry.

They make an Outer Orbit with 3x250w HQI and 8x39w T5 fixture also. Its only about $150 dollars more.Thats about the best watts per dollar I've seen unless you want to go with Odyssea and don't think you want to go there......Aquarium Lighting for Reef Aquariums: Outer Orbit Pro Series HQI/T-5/LED Lights

I saw one similar to that Freak, but it was around 1400 watts... I'll have to keep looking. Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone!!

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

sooo awesome. cant wait to see the progress on it as it comes along. when you sent me the picture earlier i thought that board was the stand. it was hard to tell on my phone. update us soon! maybe you can get a naso in memory of my naso that died without a name.

I would say a 24 inch coralife pc light would be perfect. I have one i will sell you for $500 its a screaming deal. even better than your tank

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

My tank gets delivered at 1:00 tomorrow. I rounded up a posse of four strong men to help get it off the truck and move it into my dining room for me. I had to bribe them with pizza and soda. But whatever works. I would love to get a naso in memory of your nameless naso, RIP. I am NOT going to buy a 24-inch Coralife PC for $500! Duh.

Re: Biffy Finally Gets a Build Thread!

Okay... Help me decide between these lights please!

Current USA 72 inch Outer Orbit 3x250w 10K HQI-MH w/ 8x39W T5 HO & 24 Lunar Lights (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Lighting > Fixtures > Metal Halide > 72in Units > Double Ended MH > MH With T5 )

Minus: Weaker lights

AquaMedic Ocean Light 72" 4 x 250W plus 4x39W T5 - Black: Premium Aquatics

Minus: No lunar lights

I think I'm leaning towards the stronger lights without the lunar lights...
