Culprit is unknown. I just don't have any other fish that are aggressive enough to attack one another. And I have had these firefish for almost two years with all the same tankmates.

Biff, hate to mention this, but you just picked up an Acanthrus tang. they are known for being aggressive. It is not out of the question for the clown tang to have done this. I had that purple tang who killed four fish - Acanthrus is a species that belongs with bigger fish, IMHO. Hope I am wrong.
