I love the rics and lavender/pinkish zoos.I thought it was going to look like a mess but it looked great.I do know looking at the aqua scape on yours that I really need to redo mine.I just don't want to place any rocks on the side glass.
On my camera,I have to stand back and zoom in to get clear full tank shots and not the grainy look.I can only use the macro settings for objects within one foot of the camera.Try a different setting like ''indoor'' or ''flourescent'' on your camera.I mentioned this awhile back to someone but download Google's Pacasa program.Its totally free and helps balance out the colors.Give it try and tell me what you think.

I've been using Picasa. My camera has an "aquarium" setting, which is what I used. I will try to get some better shots using the indoor setting, like you suggested. I do think that my tank is too deep -- it goes back two feet. So maybe it's just not possible for me to get good shots of stuff in the back of the tank. I will also try turning off my powerheads next time. Dammit, I'm gonna get this right!!!

The skimmer itself is 36" tall, but that pipe adds another foot to it. It's rated for up to 400 gallons. Price you ask??? Ooooh around $630 including the pump I had to buy for it
