Question Clam

I just got a clam in my 55gal tank he is about 2-3 " long and I want to know what I should watch out for when he is in the tank?

I know not to let him get covered in sand but
anything else should I know?
Who or what may eat him?
What are signs that he wants to change locations?

--- right now he is in the sand in direct T 5 light

Thanks
Jessica --and-- Rose

Re: Clam

Nice clam!

I saw this in the TOTM thread at RC

So I dont think you have any worries on what could eat your clam

Id check on it in a few days to see if it has attached itself to its possition
if not try another location in the tank My clam is sittin on the crushed coral under my 265 Watt PC and is firmly attached somewhere .lol
Hope this helped

Re: Clam

Watch your calcium levels and keep him close to the light. If the clam doesnt anchor his foot you need to move him to a higher light area

Re: Clam

Awesome clams!
How about a full tank shot since this is a tank showcase area?
