I thought Marine SAT was to get the water clearer? Does it not do that? Diatoms are almost goone, I just wanna make the water crystal clear...
I figured the floating junk would be gone soon, i just seems to float around. I will just wait it out, see if it clears on its own... Marine SAT is for red algae. I use ChemiPure which does a great job keeping the water clear.

Marine SAT is for any algae, red, hair, anything. It works on it all. It's expensive stuff, if you want your water to be crystal clear you are better off running carbon once in a while instead of using Marine SAT.

SAT is also for helping keep nitrates down.

Ya, running Chemipure... just started a week or so ago... where should I place it? Filter sock? top of overflow? in front of the return pumps?

Anywhere that water is forced through it. Filter sock is fine. I wouldn't put it in the top of the overflow, that will mess up your water levels in the sump.
