Cool Shadey's 30 gallon!

I know it's not much to look at right now but I figured I'd start a thread.

My background is ugly. Some water seeped/spilt down the back and now it looks all bubbly. I'll probably just put some more water down the back and just squegee it tight.

All tank. No fish. One rock.

Here it is! My very first one pound live rock!

Moving up in the world!

Yup, you gotta start somewhere. Keep at it and someday it will be a full blown reef. Good luck.

Re: Shadey's 30 gallon!

I think that is called 'Minimalist' - very fasionable somewhere I'm sure

Seriously though - I don't think any harm can come from starting small and growing your tank slowly. so good start .

Re: Shadey's 30 gallon!

Some times, the slower the start, the better the tank turns out.

Heck been right there before myself. My 30 started out exactly the same way.
Only I think my first LR was smaller.

Re: Shadey's 30 gallon!

The first pic almost fooled me into believing there were corals in there.

Remember what I said earlier?Rome wasn't built in one day.

good luck!
