Ctimpson's Tank Build....

Ok, well thanks to the advice of yote I am starting my own thread... I will start with the condition the tank was in, to the present and will continue to upload photos as my tank addiction grows... Well, here we go....

I need to redo the fuge... I think I need to put the skimmer before the live rock and I need to get a new light, although the one I currently have works fine... Please feel free to post suggestions and criticiscms...

The skimmer should go before the refugium section of the sump.

Re: Ctimpson's Tank Build....

Nice progression Ctimpson.I really like the torch(center) if thats what it is.

Don't forget to feed the Goniopora and the Fungia that is on the sand.

The pretty red/purple coral isn't a colt unless its been dyed. That wouldn't be a natural color of colts. If it has been dyed, they usually perish within time. From what I can tell it looks more like a carnation coral.Carnations are non photosynthetic and usually can't get enough nutrient in the home aquaria. If you want to try feeding marine snow and phytoplankton.

They can have a slight pinkishness with brown.I'm for sure its not a colt coral unless its been dyed.Still looks like a Dendro(carnation)
