Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

here is my new buddy. take a gander. He is still pretty shy and not sure of his surroundings. WHen I had one before, it took almost a week to get out and swimming openly. Because he is so shy, he will not let me get a great pic of him

Atlantic blues are in my top 5 favorite tangs. hope this little guy makes it. He is all of two inches right now. the regal tang doesn't even care he is there

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

Also one of my favorites of the tangs. Alexander will agree. He wants a school of them.

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

So, today, I decided i want more anthias. I am starting to hurt for space. I had to choose which fish goes out. I flipped a coin and the clowns lost. So, now, I am in the arduous process of trying to catch the little buggers to put them in the 125 downstairs. I have room in there for them, and I want to make that tank look better. I like the idea of having the BTA in there, since that is where it came from in the first place.

I have been nervous with adding shrimp to the 90 that they may get too close to the BTA and get eaten. I hate losing $30 shrimp for nothing. Now then, getting the BTA out was easy, just took out the rock. I figured the clowns would follow their home and I could scoop them up with the net.

NOT SO. they took off as soon as I touched the rock. They hid in the rockwork the entire time I was trying to get them out. I gave up after an hour. Damn fish. Why won't they listen to reason? now, I have to figure out a way to catch them. they have started hosting corals now. the little one is hosting the wall hammer and the big one is trying to check out the huge goni. hmmmm, I don't like that. if either of the corals looks retracted, I may swear a bit more.

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

Clowns are not as slow and as clumsy as they seem, and it seems like you've noticed that too...haha.
When i feed my tank, it's a race between the clowns, the wrasses and the cardinal, and somehow, the clowns seem to win almost every single time.

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

nice comparison between fish and women. personally, I like women more, but the fish sure are pretty too. He is a greedy bugger, eating whatever he can find. He seems to like the algae on the powerheads
