Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

Tank's looking real good. Add a little more splash of color like the above suggested. Love the fish.

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

I am glad you all liked the pictures. If you look below the bottom anemone, you can see a small spec of red. Those are red blastos. I got a screaming deal on a damaged rock and they are perking up nicely. They were all but deal, stung to death when they fell onto a montapora in the LFS. I imagine they will look great in another month. Rather than spend $45 on two the size of quarters, I got 7 for $8.00. They are all about the size of a pencil erasor.

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

I have never seen a pic of an Acan Lord. I would like to see one. Same with a purple stylophora. I am open to those corals, just don't know what they look like.

I know people do not recommend running carbon 24/7 but I do and I think that creates such clarity in my water

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

Can it beat yours heads up for a POTM? You have that stupid volume on me that just kills my tank.

BTW, I was SOOOOOO tempted today to buy a new tank. One of the local pet stores, Animal Ark, is blowing out their fish tanks. 120 gallon tanks for $200. 90 gallon tanks for $80. There was a 220 with twin overflows for $640 and a 265....yes, there it was MY 265 for $1050. I wanted to cry cuz I just didn't have the funds. I was not sure if it was a good deal either. It was a perfecto tank. I was so close to buying it, but I promised my kids a trip to Disneyland for Christmas, so...I didn't buy it.

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

I forgot all about the damage blastos you got earlier.

I like the Aussie Acanthastrea lordhowensis the best but there are other Acans but I think the lords look so much nicer.I do like the bowerbanki and maxima too.

Turn on the Disney channel for the kids and say ''Here's Disneyland''.Then go get the 265g.

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

yeah, thought about it. I am too good a father to do that to my kids. Besides, I want bigger than that anyway. I just hadn't seen one that cheap before. Is it as good a deal as I thought it was?

Re: Dr Marco's Reef Build

no, it was just the tank. I want to make a custom stand and do a touch tank with my next huge tank. I only want it about 2 feet off the ground so I can lean in and play with the shark and stingray
