It just seems so much more complicated than it has to be... A non-floating refugium works just fine.

not sure i will have the room for another baffle, how about a second sponge on the return side of the gap?

Oh Biff,its not that more complicated.If Putty wants control over the flow then let him/her do it.
I mentioned the additional baffle because it looks like micro bubbles from the skimmer passing underneath the fuge may get to the return pump.Hmmmmm...maybe I should of put a period back there somewhere.Do whatever you feel will keep microbubbles from getting to the return pump.

Thanks oh freaky one....lol and I'm a him, and I will take a look and see if I can fit the baffle in, if I can then I will, just to ensure I don't end up with micro bubbles, if I don't and I have a bubbly issue then I will try the sponge....thanks again for the advice....can hardly wait until I get more parts here....LOL (this is going to be so much fun)
