Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

Achilles tangs are one of the most difficult fish to keep alive. Out of all of them. I'd say they rival moorish idols in their survival rates in captivity (= about zero). The achilles tang is the ONLY fish that my LFS will not guarantee (all other fish they sell have a 7-day guarantee). As pretty as they are, I would not even try one. Ever.

well, people say you shouldnt keep sohals with other tangs and yet i have kept it with four tangs so far with no fighting what so ever, so i might as well give it a try, you never know, it could turn out to be a great success

Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

I think what people have said is that you shouldn't keep sohals with other tangs of the same genus. Different types of tangs usually get along just fine.

and i do keep two of them together the orange shoulder and the sohal are both in the Acanthurus genus, and they happen to get along the best
