How long and how deep is your tank?

Being as your tanks 24" deep,I think you'd be better off with the Nova Pros. But IMHO,you'd be border-line.As long as you keep more light demanding closer to the top, moderates in the middle and low light corals on the bottom, youo'll be alright.
But look into the Pros before you decide.
I like the 8 bulb Novas, thats what I'm running, but your tank is 4 inches deeper than mine.

The Pro also has individual reflectors, which from what I understand, help penetrate the water better.
As much as I like my Extremes,I'm thinking about up-grading to the Pros.

Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

I went with the 6x54 pro instead of the 8x54 for that reason exactly... I just got the lights in today and im happy with them, although I have nothing to compare them to.

Reeffreak(and everyone else) please correct me if im wrong. I believe the pros will provide less watts, but will penetrate deeper tanks better. (Having a 30" tank, I needed it as deep as I could get it.) The 8x54 will provide more watts but penetrate less... That is my understanding from doing a little research.

Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

From what I understand, you cant really got by watts with the T-5s anyway.
More par and lumens per watt,so less watts are needed. At least thats what I get out of it.

Yea... Thats what I thought as well. I just ended up going for it, lol. And dustin you can get the 8x54(if thats what you want to go with) for about 200 (+65 shipping) from current usa directly. If you want to go with those, pm me for info.
