ok so its been awhile since i have had an update so here you go. i just ordered the T-5's goodman linked to with the individual reflectors, since my order on marine depot finally got caught , so once i get those all hooked up coral will be going in my tank immediately

Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

Nice looking tank for a first tank. I started salt with a 30 long.LOL Anyway zoa's are tough and a great starter coral, however, the monti cap are a litter harder but in general hardy for an SPS. On the cap I would wait till your tank it atleast 6 months old just to be on the safe side. Any softy you get though should do great and even better they wont need a ton of light.

It looks like your tank is 4 feet. If so you can make your own metal halides and it will run you about 100.00 per light, if your into DIY that is. I built one and am still running it over my 30 long.

Re: dustins first tank. 120 gallon(lots of pics)

your tank is pretty new. It is a possibility that things have been moving a bit too fast. Time and patience is your best friend at this time. Don't do anything drastic at this time. If there is something wrong with your tank, time will fix it. You may lose some stock, but keep up with water changes and slow down with adding live stock. It can take a year or so to get things how you want them to look. I hate to hear you having bad luck, but we have all been there. Your tank is still considered new til after the first year and really not "mature" til it has been around for almost two years. Good luck
